Meet Dubu

About this role

As we expand globally, our mission is to engage with families and experts in the U.S. to design culturally relevant, impactful, and accessible tools for those who need them most.

We are looking for an experienced Global Product Manager to lead our expansion into the U.S., with a focus on California, Texas, and New York. This role will work closely with our Korean headquarters to localize and scale our mobile app, ensuring it meets the needs of American families, therapists, and educators.

Although this will be our first hire in the United States, you will collaborate with team members who are native English speakers and have experience living and working in the U.S. This role is the first step in our plan to expand our team in America, with more growth opportunities to come.

Key responsibilities

This person will be driving our U.S. expansion strategy by developing and executing a product roadmap for our launch in California, Texas, and New York, ensuring alignment with Dubu’s global vision.

  • Build from zero to one: Lead product development efforts, conducting user interviews with the team to ensure product-market fit in the U.S.
  • Collaborate cross-culturally: Act as a bridge between our Korean team and U.S. stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication, localization, and cultural adaptation.
  • Launch & iterate: Oversee go-to-market plans, onboarding strategies, and continuous improvement cycles post-launch.
  • Growth & engagement metrics: Define success metrics, track user adoption, and iterate on features based on data-driven insights.
  • Regulatory & compliance alignment: Navigate relevant regulations, privacy laws (COPPA, HIPAA), and educational requirements for digital child-focused products in the U.S., along with the support from the corporate legal advisor.

Key attitude

Please read the details below before applying. We want to ensure you're genuinely interested in this role rather than mass-applying, just as we’ve invested time and effort into crafting this job description to provide you with the right information.

We believe that exceptional product managers are deeply aware of the environments and industries that ignite their passion. At Dubu, we are not just building products—we are shaping the future by empowering children with language delays and their families.

This role is more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to create meaningful impact. Even if you haven’t worked in this space before, what matters is that you recognize the true value of our mission. We are not simply selling a product—we are delivering a transformative solution that directly impacts the next generation. If that resonates with you, we want you on our team.

Your expertise

  • Experience in mobile apps: 8+ years of experience in product management, including taking a product from zero to one and launching in new markets.
  • U.S. expansion expertise: A proven track record of scaling products within the United States ideally in consumer tech, edu-tech, or health-tech.
  • Startup mindset: Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and know how to execute with limited resources.
  • Cross-cultural communication: Experience working with global teams, ideally in Asia, and understand how to navigate language and cultural differences.
  • User-obsessed: Passionate about user needs and building tools that genuinely help children with speech delays.
  • [Bonus] Knowledge or experience in speech therapy, child development, or working with parents of children with special needs is a HUGE plus.

This position is remote-eligible, but please note that you must reside in one of the states where we have a registered entity. Currently, we’re hiring in California, Texas, and New York. • Holiday Gifts – Celebrate Korean holidays with us! Our People & Culture team curates a thoughtful gift catalog filled with special presents, ensuring we keep our Korean traditions alive with our global team.
